Ghanaians were moved to tears by the moving tale of a 22-year-old Ghanaian woman.
According to Martha, her lover hired a hoodlum to throw acid on her after she refused to enter into a blood covenant with him.
Although he had initially accused her of being unfaithful to him, he later changed his mind and decided to sign a blood covenant with her after realizing that he had never caught her in the act.The tragedy happened when the person who committed the terrible act paid her a covert visit and sprayed acid on her.Before the incident, Martha's ex-boyfriend delivered an empty box and a sure spray to her home with the help of the hired thug.
Unaware that the empty box and sure spray contained a trap for her, she threw them away.
That fateful night, Martha was ready to inspect their TV pole beside their room when her ex-boyfriend's hired thug approached her from behind and doused her in acid.
Her grandmother attempted to help her after she did the heinous deed and retreated from the site, but she too slipped in the acid and suffered burns to various parts of her body.
