S.H.S Lesbian student Commits Suicide After Her Family Refused To Accept Her $exual Orientation

An 18-year-old Indian girl sadly killed herself because her family would not accept her sexual orientation. The second-year arts student was found in her apartment hanging from a ceiling fan with a message explaining her behavior.

The teen boldly admitted to being a lesbian in her suicide letter and highlighted her difficulty to understand marrying a man and leading a happy life. She continued by saying that she thought that death was a better option for her than to live a life she was not naturally drawn to. She expressed her regret for her behavior in the letter to her parents.

She committed suicide, and after a post-mortem examination, her body was given to her parents for funeral rituals. The funeral was held in their hamlet, so they drove her there.

Authorities have confirmed that the adolescent did not receive assistance from her parents once they learnt of her sexual orientation, which has stunned members of the same-sex community about the occurrence.

The young girl remained steadfast in her beliefs despite her parents' disapproval of her gender choices, as corroborated by Gittikhadan police station sub-inspector Nitin Vithole who visited the suicide site. When her family was away, the adolescent committed the violent deed, and her father was the first to discover her hanging body.
